8月28日，“外研社·国才杯”英语写作大赛DCI初赛顺利举行。本次竞赛模拟正式比赛场景，在优学院考试系统进行，全程开启切屏监控，选手一旦更换IP地址或离开答题界面，则自动收卷。竞赛试题从历年题库中选取，选手在两小时内需完成两个写作任务：

写作任务1：

议论文写作1篇（Argumentative Writing），300-400词，总分60分

侧重考查选手对现象、观点、言行的分析、评价、论述能力。

Write an essay about the following topic:

Some people say it is important for people to take risks, both in work and personal lives.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of taking risks?

Do you think the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages?

Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write 300 to 400 words.

写作任务2：

说明文写作1篇（Expository Writing），300词，总分40分

侧重考查选手对图表信息的解释及阐述能力。

The following chart is about the state of food security and nutrition around the world between 2018 and 2020. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 300 words.

Notes:

Moderate food insecurity – people are unable to eat healthy diets regularly.

Severe food insecurity – there is no enough food and people suffer from undernutrition and hunger.

早上9点50分，选手登陆腾讯会议，老师讲解比赛规则及要求。

10点整，优学院线上赛场开放答题，12点所有选手均答题完毕。

经过英语组教师交叉评选，最终获奖名单如下：
